Birthing at Inova Fair Oaks

Summary

According to their website, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital Birthing Center is focused on providing a “safe, intimate, and comfortable” childbirth experience. With private labor & delivery rooms, private postpartum rooms with rooming-in encouraged, dedicated cesarean rooms, and access to lactation consultants, Inova Fair Oaks has earned many accolades for its services.

Recently, the hospital and its staff have added additional services to support natural birthing methods such as: laboring in a water tub (bring your own!), access to peanut ball (bring your own birthing ball!), delayed cord clamping, and supporting trials of labor after a cesarean.

There is a newly renovated Level III NICU on its own private floor. Additional new mother and baby services are a newborn security system, in-house pediatrician and neonatologist, and Inova Fair Oaks Hospital Lactation Center with board certified lactation consultants.
